Entry Fee:
  $400.00 per team (4-6 persons) Entry deadline will be 12 PM August 1, 2017.
  All mailed entries will be logged in the entry list on the date received, not the postmark date.

   All events are DALLY ONLY!
   Any unnecessary roughness or abuse of stock will result in disqualification of the team.
   ANY RULE VIOLATION WILL RESULT IN A NO TIME.

Ranch Rodeo Events

Stray Gathering
A steer and a calf will be turned into the arena. Teams will compete one team at a time.  4- member team with one loop per man. Teams must rope and tie the steer and calf.  Both must stay tied until all members are mounted and back behind the line.

Wild Cow Milking
Two cows will be placed in the arena. Two teams will start behind the line at the opposite end of the arena. Cows must be roped with a legal head catch and be standing while milked. Time will be called when the milker is in the circle with the judge. Cows may not be dragged to the circle.

Team Tying
Two steers will be in the arena. Two teams will compete at a time. Steers must be headed and heeled with legal catches, tied with any three legs, and remain tied for six seconds. Ropes must be free from horses and no contestant touching the steer before the six seconds will start.

Team Branding
Cows and calves will be in the arena. Two teams will compete at a time. Two calves will be branded: one caught by the heels and one by the head. Heel catch must be a legal catch; no running the calf through the loop to catch the heels. Head catch must be slick around the neck.  No running through the herd. Loping only permitted with the calf in tow. Must be flanked and branded after dragging across the line. No flankers or branders across the line.

Trailer Loading
One team at a time; 2 men mounted, 2 men on foot. Four loops allowed, 4-minute time limit.  Steer roped by legal head catch and loaded into front of trailer; 2 horses loaded into back. Time will be called when horses are loaded, all latches secured, and all 4 team members are in front seat of pick-up with doors closed.

Wild Horse Race
An optional event for teams entered in the Ranch Rodeo. Interested teams must sign up by July 12 at 12 pm and entry fee of $100 is due at sign up. Rules will be provided at the captainís meeting on the day of the performance.
